Extending the GPS antenna with 8 Core Cable

If you purchased your antenna on or after 11/02/2021 and your antenna looks like the photo above, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Cut the 15-way D-type connector off the antenna cable, ensuring you have plenty of slack cable for the next steps.
  2. Using the wiring schematic below, wire the antenna cable into the terminal block.
  3. Using the wiring schematic below, wire your 8-core extension cable to the other side of the terminal block.
  4. Using the wiring schematic below, wire the 15-way D-type connector onto the end of the 8-core extension cable.

Note: The supplied junction box is not weatherproof.

Extending the GPS antenna with Cat5e/Cat6 Cable

If you purchased your antenna on or after 11/02/2021 and your antenna looks like the photo above, please follow the instructions below.

  1. Cut the 15-way D-type connector off the antenna cable, ensuring you have plenty of slack cable for the next steps.
  2. Using the wiring schematic below, wire the antenna cable into the terminal block.
  3. Using the wiring schematic below, wire your CAT5e/CAT6 extension cable to the other side of the terminal block.
  4. Using the wiring schematic below, wire the 15-way D-type connector onto the end of the CAT5e/CAT6 extension cable.

Recently we have received many inquires surrounding the Apache Log4j vulnerability in relation to our equipment.

We can confirm that our NTS Time Servers don’t use this service and therefore are not susceptible to this vulnerability.

This article contains upgrade instructions for the NTS-6002.

Please note: Upon update, the default network settings are restored to DHCP,  as such the NTS-6002 may not be accessible via the web interface if your network does not have a DHCP server attached to it.

(A) Upgrading via the web interface

1. Log in to the Web Interface and navigate to Administration. Select Backup.

2. Click Create Backup and download the backup file to your computer.

3. Download the firmware file from here(please right-click on the link and click save as...)

4. From the Web Interface, select Administration from the navigation menu on the left.

5. Select Firmware Update and select the upgrade file.

6. Click the Update button.

The device will now perform the upgrade. Please allow 1 minute for the device to upgrade.

To verify the upgrade was successful, click Software Versions under the Administration tab. Under Operating System, confirm 4.14.103-Galleon-NTS-6002.V12 - #7 is displayed.
